The Climate Risk Overview: What does it do?

‍In the Netherlands, water management is so well organized that you almost forget how vulnerable many other areas are. Van Oord's new global Climate Risk Overview brings together a large amount of information, spread over differentd data layers. All data comes from public sources and is split into coastal sections, each 10 kilometers long.

Within the tool, you can filter by various parameters, so you can zoom in to the hotspots of your choice. Anyone in the world can use the tool to collect, store and share information about endangered coastal zones. In short: the Climate Risk Overview provides users with insight into the risks of coastal zones. A welcome reminder to take action and reduce risks where necessary.
