Oiko is a new non-profit in Rotterdam: a free, accessible place for parents and their children aged 0-4. An environment where little ones can discover, learn and grow in a playful way.
In addition, Oiko helps prepare children for a good start at primary school. Pedagogical support is available for parents, but only when they need it. This happens in a playful environment, without judgment. In this way, Oiko remains an accessible and accessible place for all parents and children.
Epos Onderwijs Rotterdam asked us to shape this completely new concept, from name and brand identity to website and spatial branding.

“The collaboration with Evers + de Gier was incredibly pleasant. They really brought the corporate identity to life. The team responds quickly, thinks along with you and understands exactly what you need. They are a reliable and inspiring partner, highly recommended!”
To maintain the open atmosphere, we designed the brand in such a way that it doesn't feel like a government agency. No sense of assessment, but a place where parents feel welcome and at ease.
We developed the brand from the ground up, starting with the name Oiko, inspired by the Greek word oikos, which means “home.” This has been translated into the brand idea “Meet Oiko”, which is reflected everywhere in the visual identity and tone of voice.
The main character is Oiko, an expressive and mischievous figure who stimulates curiosity and invites children and parents to play, discover, learn and grow.

We developed a website that informs parents in an accessible way. Ideal for a starting organization like Oiko, the flexibility was to start small and expand later. Thanks to Webflow's no-code tools, we were able to focus as much as we could on interactions and animations. The result: a compact and vibrant site that perfectly matches Oiko's playful nature.

For Oiko, we developed a range of online and offline communications that let the brand speak everywhere. From a poster campaign to publicize Oiko in the neighborhood to the spatial branding and signage in the building. Here, the character Oiko really comes to life and is playfully integrated into the space, right at children's eye level, where he stimulates their curiosity and invites them to explore.

Special thanks to Sanne de Goede, Evelien Schrijver and the Oiko team for the inspiring collaboration and their strong vision. Thanks to Dana Romina for beautifully capturing the building.
