With BeterDichtbij, patients have their doctor in their pockets. With this app, patients can ask a short question, read research results or request a repeat prescription. This saves the patient and also the doctor a lot of time.
With the ambition to become a nationally known and visible brand, the need arose for a recognizable and strong visual identity. As a creative partner, we are constantly working to refine and expand the brand identity at all touchpoints, from folder to website to app.

To facilitate implementation within new healthcare institutions, we have developed an extensive toolkit. It contains all the tools that healthcare organizations need to roll out the app to their patients and provide explanations.

“As a growing brand, it is important for us to work with passionate, reliable and creative permanent partners. E+dg thinks along with us strategically, is critical and proactive.”
When designing the marketing website, we saw a clear distinction between two target groups - patients and healthcare providers. Thanks to an intuitive navigation structure, both groups can easily find the information they are looking for. In addition, we have ensured that the website fully complies with the WCAG 2 AAA guidelines for optimal accessibility.

Together with the BeterDichtbij team, we also continuously work as a permanent design partner to design new features and improvements in the apps for patients and healthcare providers.
Creating an intuitive app that is accessible to a very broad target group, including those with fewer technical skills or people with disabilities, is a considerable challenge. That is why we work extensively with both doctors and various end users, through interviews and user tests. This is how we ensure that the app can be used and understood by everyone.

The impact of BeterDichtbij is significant. Since its launch, the app has contributed to 1.9 million digital conversations in 2023 alone. The platform is now used by more than 35,000 healthcare professionals and serves over 1,500,000 patients. Hospitals that use BeterDichtbij report fewer calls to the outpatient clinic, reduced repeat visits and higher patient satisfaction, mainly due to the increased service and accessibility that the app offers.
Thanks to the BeterDichtbij team, and in particular Erica Bouma and Godfried Bogaerts, for your trust and being a fantastic partner since 2018!
