Integration software is a crowded market. And a boring one. Almost everyone communicates from a technical perspective: integrations, platforms, complex flowcharts. The people who need to understand it tune out. Those who do understand it wonder why it has to be so complicated.
Handled knows what problem they solve: seamless onboarding and offboarding, without manual work. But the market hadn't named that problem. No one claimed the end-to-end process.
For this new brand, we built everything from scratch. From name to platform.
Onboarding and offboarding might sound boring, but it's a real headache. Fragmented processes, duplicate data entry, access rights that remain active long after someone has left. And the existing tools? They're geared towards the IT department, full of jargon and flowcharts that the rest of the company can't make sense of. Yet, it's no longer just an IT project; it affects HR, Finance, Operations, everyone.
We started with the name. Plenty of names came up that sounded like a generated password (Fluxfuse, Hendlee, Cierge, Skwit). Ultimately, Handled was chosen. Direct, simple, results-oriented. It tells you exactly what it does: you won't have to give it a second thought.
From that name, we built a brand that deliberately goes against the grain of the rest of the market. No corporate sameness, no safe colors, and standard sans-serifs. Instead: bright colors, striking typography, and Jimmy: a recognizable character who exudes control and oversight. No abstract data visualizations or stock photos of 'cyberspace'. Just someone saying: I'll take care of it.
We carried that tone through to the website and the platform. The website starts with recognition: first the problem, then the solution. The platform is built to minimize steps and maximize peace of mind. One place, everything under control.
A brand that feels like a colleague who just gets things done, rather than a software package that needs explaining. Handled distinguishes itself not only visually but also in how it communicates: clear, human, and focused on ease. It maps out the process, automates it, and takes full control of its management.

No one has a complete overview of the entire onboarding and offboarding process. Each department handles its own part. IT creates accounts. HR processes contracts. Finance adjusts payroll. And no one sees the bigger picture.
This was the starting point for the brand strategy. Handled oversees, connects, and monitors the entire system as one integrated unit. And continues to ensure it functions, even as the organization grows or systems evolve. So that the HR team doesn't have to worry about a thing.

The visual identity doesn't stop at the logo or website. That same uncluttered and intuitive feel extends to the platform. Jimmy, the mascot who pops up throughout the brand, also makes an appearance in the product interface.

Handled launched with a brand that is unique in its sector. Human, simple, and with a clear stance on how things can be improved.
One team for naming, branding, and product design meant that nothing was lost in translation. The website, the platform, and the brand identity convey the same idea.
